LIONS OF ARKANSAS FOUNDATION, INC (LOAF)

"Lions helping Lions"

The Lions of Arkansas Foundation, Inc was formed in May 1999 by the Lions of Arkansas. A gift to the Lions of Arkansas from the estate on an individual from Hot Spring Village provided the initial funding for the foundation.

At the state convention in 1999 the Lions of Arkansas voted to make the interest only available for grants. The trustees subsequently voted to allow a maximum grant available. Grants are available to clubs up to $1,000.00.

Projects may cover a broad range of humanitarian needs; to qualify for funding a project must meet the criteria establishment by the board of trustees.

Matching funds are recommended but not required.

Lions of Arkansas Officers & Trustees 2011-2012

All Arkansas Lions & Lioness are members of the Foundation. LOAF is managed by a board of Trustees composed of twelve Arkansas Lions members – three from each sub-district.

Each District is divided into two regions with a Trustee from each region and each district will have an at large Trustee.

Each trustee is elected by the Lions of their district. The Board oversees and manages the property and activities of the Foundation.
